Energy, Push, Accountability

Channel your energy and enthusiasm for a new pattern!

Energy is precious!

Most of us that are ready for a change carry an enormous enthusiasm to take on any task that will lead to the achievement of that change, but we must curb that zeal, and prolong it for the long haul as you will need it when the task becomes overbearing.

That feeling that you’ve been waiting on to propel you to new heights is highly delicate because it may not come often for some of us, and that passion can have drastic consequences if you get distracted and place it on the back burner; so build upon that focus, create an outline or agenda of what you want to accomplish, specify in great detail your barriers to reach those goals; I tend to use a large white board with different color markers to differentiate thoughts, challenges, and goals because it helps keep me focused and maintain that positive energy by constantly going back to add more thoughts. The idea and process makes me feel accountable and gives me a sense of purpose that I have to complete this task.

This eagerness that has suddenly come about or that has been sitting in your mind for a prolonged time can no longer wait or be ignored, and so the question and challenge is how do you satisfy that eagerness, desire to achieve the mission or goal or overcome that challenge as it relates to your well being? The answer is begin very slowly; in other words, chip away at the task little by little and as you continue your process, that will aid in building momentum. Momentum feeds on momentum and before you know it, you’ll be on cruise control! Being on cruise control is what I call being on LIFE-LINE LONGEVITY (LLL). In version WBG 2.0, we will elaborate on why short term goals never work and why we must develop a carefully thought out process for the long run.

Energy is power!

Now that you’re armed and dangerous with your new positive outline and ready to take action, and thus go on cruise control, your energy is building inside; keep the mental prep going because most of us that quit on a mission often lack this new found adrenaline! So try your best to conserve this energy for moments in need to PUSH or propel you to the next phase or stage in your mission!

I can be on a treadmill for 45 minutes knowing that I have fifteen minutes left, but my mind and body are saying give up or stop! I tend to PUSH a little, but if I still feel I can no longer continue, I will STOP; to be clear, it’s important to listen to the mind and body, not doing so may lead to injuries or other complications. The goal and meaning of the term PUSH, is to continue the session the next day; my mind and body will recall that I quit my 60 minute session at the 55-miute mark, and hopefully today I will reach sixty minutes. If I each 39 minutes instead of 60 minutes, it’s okay because, there is always next time. The goal is to NEVER stop trying until you’ve reached that goal: 20, 30, 45, 60 minutes; eventually you will reach your goal.

I mindset and process I state above, will aid in achieving your mission and breakdown barriers; just stay focused. Stopping in the middle or at any point of a session is NOT considered a failed focus because you will try again and again until you become consist because consistency is the main goal!

Remember, the most challenging aspect in life is mostly finding the will to be well; I find it extremely hard to loose or gain weight, let alone prepare for a body building contest; the key is also to keep thinking about until the beginning, middle, and end of the cycle.
